Privacy policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

Raptor Explorer is a Chrome extension and this website, operated by West Wanted LLC ("we"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and who we share it with. In short: the car data you analyze stays in your browser, your account is your Google name and email, and payments are handled by Stripe.

Data the extension reads from Turo

On Turo's search pages, the extension reads the search results Turo sends to your browser and, when you analyze cars, each listing's public details, daily prices and availability. These requests go from your browser to Turo, like Turo's own pages. The results are stored in your browser (IndexedDB) and are not sent to us. We do not read or store details of your Turo account.

To estimate a car's market value, the extension sends only its year, make, model and trim to our server, which looks them up with Auto.dev and VinAudit. Results are cached for every user and are not linked to you. Lookups made without an account (by older versions) are counted per network address for the day, to stop abuse; the address is stored only as a one-way hash.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account to use the extension. We receive its name, email address and Google account identifier, stored in Firebase Authentication (Google Cloud). We use them to run your account, know that you are on Pro, and answer you when you write to support.

Usage statistics in the extension

The extension sends anonymous usage statistics to Google Analytics: events such as "panel opened" or "analysis finished", with counts, the outcome, whether you have Pro, the extension's version, and a random identifier made on your computer. They never include your email, your account, the cars or pages you look at, or anything you search, and they are sent by the extension itself, never from Turo's pages.

You can switch them off in the extension's Settings ("Share anonymous usage statistics"). Where your browser's time zone is in Europe, they are off until you switch them on.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and never reach us. We keep your Stripe customer ID and your subscription's status and dates, so the extension knows you are on Pro. Stripe's use of your data is covered by the Stripe Privacy Policy.

This website

raptorexplorer.com uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to count visits and installs: the pages you view, your browser and device, approximate location, and the page that sent you, using cookies. When you complete a purchase, the confirmation page reports the order's ID and amount to Google Analytics. You can block this with your browser's cookie settings or Google's opt-out add-on. The page shown after you uninstall the extension loads no analytics; if you answer its optional question, we store your answer with the extension's version, how many days it was installed and your plan, never your name or email.

raptorexplorer.com also uses the Meta Pixel, to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and to show them to people who have visited this site. It tells Meta the pages you view and, when you complete a purchase, the order's ID and amount, using cookies. Meta may link this to your Facebook or Instagram account; its use is covered by the Meta Privacy Policy. You can block it with your browser's cookie settings and limit ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences. The extension itself sends nothing to Meta.

Who we share data with

Only the services that run Raptor Explorer, for that purpose:

  • Google (Firebase and Google Cloud): sign-in, account and subscription records, our server.
  • Stripe: payments and the billing portal.
  • Auto.dev and VinAudit: vehicle year, make, model and trim for market values.
  • Google Analytics: website visits and the extension's anonymous usage statistics, as described above.
  • Meta: visits to this website and purchases made from it, for our ads, as described above.

We do not sell your data. Apart from the Meta Pixel on this website, described above, we do not use it for advertising.

Chrome Web Store user data policy

Our use of information received through the extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and subscription records while you have an account. Stripe keeps payment records as the law requires. Car data in your browser stays until you use Clear All or remove the extension. To have your account deleted, write to support@raptorexplorer.com.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to support@raptorexplorer.com. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and you can complain to your data protection authority.

Children

Raptor Explorer is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we update this page and its date before the change ships. Material changes are announced by email or in the extension.
